Various disciplines shape and inspire my main interventions at a personal, group and organisational level. In this section, I highlight Mindfulness, Coaching, Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), Emotional Intelligence and Positive Psychology.
My 5 Pillars
What is Mindfulness?
Nowadays we hear a lot about mindfulness as "something" that can help us to manage this "stressful" life. But what does really Mindfulness mean? mindfulness?
There are many definitions of mindfulnessI like, for its simplicity, the one given by the creator of the MBSR (siglas en inglés de Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction), Jon Kabat-Zinn (fundador del Center for Mindfulness de la Universidad de Massachusetts):
“"Mindfulness is about paying attention, in a particular way and with intention, the present moment avoiding judgment.

What is Coaching?
It is a process that facilitates reflection, awareness, learning and, above all, action.
A process that facilitates reflection, awareness, learning and, above all, action.
According to ICF (International Coaching Federation): «"Professional Coaching is based on a partnership with clients in a process of reflective and creative accompaniment that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential".
"In each session, the client chooses the topic of conversation while the coach listens and contributes with observations and questions. This interactive method creates transparency and motivates the client to act. Coaching accelerates the progress of the client's goals by providing greater focus and awareness of the client's choices. Coaching takes the client's current situation as a starting point and focuses on what the client is willing to do to get to where he/she would like to be in the future, being aware that every outcome depends on the client's intentions, choices and actions, supported by the coach's effort and the application of the Coaching method".
What is Generative Coaching?
A line of coaching that focuses on creating (generating) an awareness and creative inner states that allow you to transform problems into resources and achieve what you set out to do.
The Generative Coaching beyond behaviour and skills and focuses more focuses more on beliefs, values and identity.
The Generative Coaching focuses on "dreams" and longings. We talk about creating something new, something that did not exist in your life until now. We talk about creativity.
What is NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming)?
An integrative methodology that facilitates self-knowledge, communication y el and change..
According to AEPNL (Spanish Association NLP), the NLP is "a set of methods and techniques intended to be applied in everyday life, so people can achieve their objectives in different fields of human activity and improve their quality of life".”.
NLP helps us to understand the reasons behind our behaviour and actions/reactions and those of the people we are related to (friends, colleagues, bosses, clients...). It sheds light on our level of self-knowledge, helps us to communicate more effectively and to achieve the changes/goals we set ourselves in a faster and more agile way.
Emotions are involved in most of our decisions. Success in decision-making does not depend only on our IQ, but rather on a good combination of intellect and emotional management.
Emotional intelligence (EI) allows us to become aware of our emotions and, therefore, allows us to know ourselves better (self-knowledge),manage our emotions and tolerate the pressures and frustrations we endure at work(self-control or emotional regulation). It also allows us to focus our emotions towards objectives and goals that allow us to maintain an adequate motivation, focusing our attention more on the goals than on the obstacles(self-motivation), recognising and understanding the feelings and emotions of others and thus be able to establish better and more lasting bonds (empathy), accentuating our ability to lead, work in a team and adopt an empathetic and social attitude(social and leadership skills).).
The degree to which workers and leaders can recognise and control their emotions, as well as those of their interlocutors, is one of the keys to personal and professional success. Most importantly, EI can be fostered and strengthened in all of us.
It can be defined as the scientific study of human strengths and virtuesThe development of which allows us to adopt a more open vision of human potential, motivations and capabilities.
Positive psychology, also known as Science of Happiness, studies the basis of subjective well-being and happiness. It focuses on "positive" (say, pleasant) emotions and human strengths. It studies the processes, dynamics and situations that have the greatest impact on our psychological well-being, performance and overall life satisfaction. In short, it seeks to teach people to be happier.
There is a multitude of evidence that leads to the conclusion that we are more successful (whatever success is for each of us) if we are happier and not the other way round. And happiness implies, among other aspects, a way of "seeing" (mindset) and relating to the world in which we live, a way of learning from "mistakes" and "failures", as well as the firm belief that we are, to a greater or lesser extent, actors and not victims of what happens to us.
